Charlie's School Shows
All Charlie the Magician’s school shows are based on three key elements of performance management.
- Entertainment combined with education, as children learn best when they are having fun and enjoying themselves.
- Audience participation, allowing children to learn by being involved.
- Using magic to illustrate key points and aiding children to remember the message.
Teachers who have observed performances have found that there is much on which to base follow-up activities, often linked to the National Curriculum.
a) THE AMAZING MAGIC SHOW
This is a fun-packed entertainment for groups, classes or the whole school. It is full of comedy, magic, mystery and excitement. Children have the opportunity to participate in a live show, with individual children being invited to join Charlie to help with the magic.
The Amazing Magic Show is a one-hour interactive performance designed specifically for school celebrations and events.
These include Post-Ofsted Merrymaking, Easter Festivities, Summer Fetes, PTFA Revels and The Christmas Party.
Whatever your red-letter day Charlie can add that special magical ingredient.

The Magic Reading Show is a one-hour interactive performance designed to encourage and engage children with reading. Educational, entertaining and fast paced, the fact-filled magic show promotes all types of reading – for information, for pleasure, for instruction and learning, for fun and much more.
The content has been developed to complement aspects of the National Literacy Strategy, providing a multi-sensory learning experience motivating pupils to read.
The performance is age appropriate and combines magic, comedy and audience participation to reinforce the importance of reading as a life-long skill. Throughout the show, emphasis is placed on how good reading skills open doors to all sorts of knowledge and learning, inside and outside of school.

The Safety with a Smile Magic Show is a one-hour interactive performance designed to encourage children to think about safety.
Educational, entertaining and fast paced, the fact-filled magic show promotes all types of child safety – safety in the playground, safety on the road, safety when cycling and staying safe from strangers.
The content has been developed to complement aspects of the curriculum requirement to teach citizenship and safety. It provides a multi-sensory learning experience motivating pupils to keep safe.

This is a terrific one-hour interactive performance designed to engage children’s thinking about living a healthy life.
The focus of the show is to encourage children to eat a healthy balanced diet and to clean their teeth regularly, particularly after eating sugary foods. Drinking plenty of water and exercising every day is also re-enforced in a fun and magical way.
The content has been developed to complement aspects of the curriculum requirement in Science to teach ‘health and growth’.
The performance is age appropriate and combines magic, comedy and audience participation to emphasize the importance of health for life.
During the show messages about a healthy life style are put across in a positive manner.

The Change Your World Show lasts for an hour and includes saving energy in our homes, recycling, looking after the environment and how we can all help to make a difference in our local area and globally.
The content has been developed to complement aspects of the curriculum requirement within Geography to teach about improving the environment.
Fun and laughter are used to get the pupils to remember the message that if we keep the world we live in healthy – it will keep us healthy.
The performance is age appropriate and combines magic, comedy and audience participation to reinforce the importance of looking after our environment around school, locally and in the wider world.
